{We’re taken back to Rachel who is standing next to a television screen with the graphic on it to her right.}

 

Rachel Grimes: Really, where do we begin? This is another feud that had it's roots in 2015 with Roberto Verona winning the Imperial Championship in October.

​

Rob and Warren would also enter 2016 with the Man of Steel and Invictus Titles respectfully. Verona would put the pair through rigorous stipulations that would render their "strength in numbers" useless, stating in many of their match clauses that if the other would interfere, the interfering party would be stripped of their championship.

​

The Ace would enter this feud as well as an ally of Verona's. He along with Warren and Rob would be entered into a Triple Threat Match, another strange stipulation added, stating that if Rob and Warren did not physically confront one another in the match, they would both be stripped of their championships.

​

Obviously, this didn't work in their favor, and Conway would win the match which would kick off the Ace vs Verona feud to be covered in another episode.

​

In another sick twist by Verona, he would place a stipulation on the rest of Rob's matches, leading up to Metamorphosis to "earn" the right to defend his own Man of Steel title against Zasshu. This would essentially pull Zasshu into this feud as he would chase Rob and the Man of Steel Championship. Each night Rob would win his match, even a Barbed Wire Rope match against a mystery opponent that would end up being Andrew Jacobsen who had already fought earlier in the night, only to have Zasshu strike with premeditated assaults after each match. Anytime Rob tried to retaliate, Zasshu would escape.

​

Meanwhile on the other side of things, Warren Kane and Andrew Jacobsen would be forced to face Jayson Matthews in a handicap match as Steve Awesome would no-show the match. If the two decided not to take on Matthews, Jacobsen would be fired, and Warren would be stripped of the Invictus Title. They would face Jayson and Warren would get the fall.

​

Later that night, a First Blood Match between Rob Diamond and Nighthawk would take place on the Sacrifice before Metamorphosis, and again Zasshu tried to strike...

 

{There’s a flash and we’re tuned into the January 25, 2016 edition of Sacrifice…}

 

{ Both men are down, Rob checks his stitches, still no blood. He sits up and looks over to Nighthawk, wondering what the hell he's going to have to do to cut this man open the hard way. Rob stands up slowly and starts to beg Nighthawk to stand when the crowd erupts into wild boos as ZASSHU LEAPS THE CROWD BARRIER WITH A STEEL CHAIR!!! }

 

Terri Morasco: It's Zasshu! What the hell is he doing here!?

 

Vasco Dias: Looking for justice!

 

{ Zasshu rolls into the ring and swings the chair but Rob senses it and moves at the last second, Zasshu wraps the steel chair around the head of Nighthawk who was on his knees trying to get up! }

 

Terri Morasco: OH MY GOD!

 

{ Zasshu turns his attention to Rob Diamond who snaps him out of nowhere and hits a DIAMOND CUTTER!!!! Rob gets right back up and delivers a dozen cortch chops as he yells at Zasshu "SUCKIT!SUCKIT!SUCKIT!" }

 

Vasco Dias: He can't do that! He can't touch Zasshu!

 

Terri Morasco: Well he just did!

 

{ The referee moves the chair off the head of Nighthawk and he's bleeding!!! The referee calls for the bell and Rob Diamond looks confused. }

 

Terri Morasco: Zasshu busted Nighthawk open!

 

Vasco Dias: DAMMIT!

 

Terri Morasco: This is not how Rob wanted to win this match.

 

{ The referee holds Rob's hand up but he pulls it away as he snatches up the steel chair and starts to unload on Zasshu with it! }

 

Vasco Dias: Somebody stop him!

 

{ Rob isn't happy about winning this way and is letting the world know it as he literally bends the chair in half over the fallen body of Zasshu! }

 

Terri Morasco: This is just a taste of the sort of punishment Zasshu is going to suffer at the hands of Rob Diamond!

 

Vasco Dias: He can't do this, he can't touch him, someone needs to stop him.

 

{ Rob throws the chair aside and peels Zasshu up off the mat, he crotch chops him again then hits a second DIAMOND CUTTER! }

 

Vasco Dias: Will somebody stop him!?

 

{ Rob asks for a microphone and drops down over Zasshu as he speaks. }

 

Rob Diamond: NO MORE RUNNING! NO MORE HIDING! METAMORPHOSIS! IT'S YOU AND ME IN AN EXTREME RULES MAN OF STEEL MATCH! SUCK ITTTTTTTT!

 

{ Rob punches Zasshu in the face with the mic before standing up and ripping his belt out of the referees hands. He looks over to Nighthawk who he promptly helps up to his feet as the crowd cheers and the two men exchange a hand shake as we head to commercial. }

 

{We flash back and see Rachel with a huge smile on her face.}

 

Rachel Grimes: What a bombshell just a week before the two would face off at Metamorphosis with the Man of Steel Championship on the line.

​

Fast forward a week to the PPV itself, and a litany of things would be going on moving things in all sorts of directions. We start with the match made by Roberto Verona, pitting friend against friend, one's title against one's career as Warren Kane was forced to defend the Invictus Title against Andrew Jacobsen. The winner would be the Invictus Champion, the loser...would be fired.

 

{We're taken to the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington, the site of Metamorphosis.}

 

{The drumbeat of "When the Levee Breaks" begins echoing through the arena, and a raspy harmonica heralds Andrew Jacobsen as he walks onto the stage, Danielle Chase a few steps behind him. Andrew adjusts his gloves, eyes zeroed in on the ring, and walks with purpose down the ramp, nodding to fans in the crowd as he walks. He picks up a burst of speed as he leaves the ramp to leap up onto the apron. Andrew kneels on the apron, hanging onto the middle rope with one hand as he turns to look back at the ramp and Danielle. He closes his eyes, taking a deep breath, and stands up, stepping between the ropes. Andrew walks to a corner, slumping slightly against the ropes, and stares ahead, eyes practically tunneling through the turnbuckle as Danielle joins him in his corner and he waits for the bell.}

 

Terri Morasco: I feel bad for Andrew Jacobsen and Warren Kane. One of these two men is gonna win...

 

Vasco Dias: ..while the other gets to hang with the hookers of Tacoma's red light district after losing his contract!

 

Terri Morasco: I hate it when you say lines like that. Really, I do.

 

{The lights go out as the crowd chanting fills the arena.}

{As the song kicks in the tron explodes to life with a quick pyro as red and white strobe lights begin to flash. Warren Kane comes to the front of the stage and brings his arms up infront of his chest before extending them outwards and upwards creating a reaction from the crowd.}

 

"It's not easy making a name for yourself, Where do you draw the line?

I never thought I'd be in this far.

Let's have some fun and never change that for anyone, try not to miss me when I'm gone

 

Woooh, wooooh"

 

I sold my soul to the open road!"

 

{He then heads towards the ring, clicking his neck, wrists and elbows to prepare for his match before jumping up onto the apron, climbing the turnbuckle on the outside and raising his arms once more. The music dies down and the lights return to normal as he drops into the ring.}

 

Terri Morasco: You gotta love Warren Kane--

 

Vasco Dias: --I don't. How can he possibly justify costin' his pops a match against Jack Gaither?! Don't give me that "it's a family thing" bullcrap either.

 

Terri Morasco: I can't...really, I can't. After all, either by accident or design, he DID drag Jack into the middle of his personal feud with Spike.

 

[DING!]

 

{The man in stripes calls for the bell to get things rolling along. The two men look around the Tacoma Dome crowd, knowing the gravity of the situation they've found themselves in, before locking up in the center. Warren and Andrew jockey for position until the former backs the latter up in the corner; immediately, the younger Kane breaks the clinch and the two tie up for a second time. This time, Jacobsen backs the Invictus champ into the opposite corner and, like the first time, breaks the hold on a subtle command. The two lock up for a third time--only this time, Warren grabs Andrew's left arm and twists it into a classic hammerlock. Jacobsen reverses the hammerlock into one of his own--followed by a Warren reversal that eventually leads into a hammerlock takedown that sends his challenger to the deck. On the mat, Warren quickly transitions into a reverse chinlock; the zebra checks to make sure that it's not a chokehold as the 205-pounder holds his own against the vastly experienced Jacobsen. Andrew is able to squirm free of the chinlock and stands back up, only to be sent crumpling to the canvas once again with a vertical suplex--folowed by a second and a third, transitioning into a pin.}

NOPE!!!

 

{Warren immediately picks up Andrew and sends him for the ride. But the savvy vet senses this and reverses; now it's the younger Kane who bounces off the ropes and into a standing dropkick, followed by a second and a third as Andrew gets himself all jacked up.}

 

Vasco Dias: I've got a feeling that this ain't gonna be a straight wrestling match for much longer.

 

Terri Morasco: I'm merely hopin' they keep things fair and honest.

 

{Jacobsen grabs Warren by the left arm and sends him careening into the corner; Kane crunches the buckles with his back as Andrew takes control, thrusting his shoulder into his opponent's ribs several times before sending him crashing toward the opposite corner. Warren crunches the buckles and staggers out--right into an inverted atomic drop! The Invictus champ sings soprano figuratively, clutching his family jewels before stumbling into a vertical suplex! Andrew holds onto his rival and quickly lands a snap DDT before turning him over for a pin!}

KICKOUT!!!

 

{Jacobsen says he's had enough and decides that he wants to end the match right here, right now. Shaking his head over the importance of winning, and knowing full-well that a fellow comrade in IWF could lose his job soon, Andrew lifts Warren above his head in anticipation for his dreaded snap-release powerbomb!}

 

Terri Morasco: Here it comes--the Ice Breaker! This could be the end!

 

Vasco Dias: Someone's goin' home!

 

{But Warren manages to wriggle his way out of danger and connects with his TUNDERSTRUCK Stunner out of nowhere! Andrew Jacobsen lies spread-eagle in the ring as Kane covers!}

THREEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

 

[DING-DING-DING!!!]

 

{We go back to Rachel who is sitting at the desk with a look of dismay on her face..}

 

Rachel Grimes: Talk about gut wrenching. At the time, you were watching two men fight over a championship, and in the end, saw Warren Kane cause his friend to lose his job.

​

{She shakes her head again.}

 

Rachel Grimes: It's just sad. Things weren't over though as this feud would continue with the Zasshu vs Rob Diamond Man of Steel Title match. For those of you who didn't watch episode one...first off, shame on you...second off, here's how that ended.

 

{We flash away to the end of the Man of Steel Title Match at Metamorphosis…}

{ Rob is barely on his feet, the referee has stopped counting, he looks from the blond to Alexis and looks pissed, he starts to move toward her but MIKE LASZLO COMES OUT OF THE CROWD AND SPINS ROB AROUND FOR MALICIOUS INTENT!!!! }

 

Terri Morasco: Mike Laszlo and Alexis Caffrey!!!! Mike Laszlo is back and he's looking to cost Rob the Man of Steel Championship!

 

Vasco Dias: Thank god for Mike Laszlo.

 

{ Mike turns to Zasshu who still hasn't moved and pulls the bloody masked man to his feet. Rob starts to come to but Mike peels the padding up off the concrete floor. Zasshu comes to and together they pull Rob up, Zasshu connects with the CIESTA KICK! And Laszlo hits him with another MALICIOUS INTENT ON THE CONCRETE!!!! }

 

Terri Morasco: This is bad.

 

{ Alexis laughs hysterically as she grabs the blond by the hair and screams into her face "This is what you get for dating dirt bags!" She slams the blonds head back onto the padded floor as Zasshu yells at the referee to count. }

 

Terri Morasco: This can't end like this.

 

Vasco Dias: It sure as hell can, Rob shouldn't of asked for Extreme Rules.

 

{ The referee counts. ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! Rob isn't moving and Zasshu has already collected the Championship belt. Mike stands over Rob. FIVE! SIX! }

 

Terri Morasco: This is a travesty!

 

Vasco Dias: This is justice!

 

{ SEVEN! EIGHT! Rob starts to claw at the boot of Laszlo. NINE! TEN!!!! }

 

Alison Valance: Your winner and NEW MAN OF STEEL CHAMPION!!!! ZASSHU!!!!!

 

Terri Morasco: NO! This is total horse shit!

 

Vasco Dias: This is what happens when you cross the boss!

 

{ Laszlo stomps on Rob again as Zasshu holds the Man of Steel Championship up over his head. The crowd boos unrelentingly. }

 

Terri Morasco: This is not how this match should have gone.

 

Vasco Dias: Too bad, because this is how it went and it's all Rob's fault.

 

{ Laszlo takes Alexis in his arms and the two beam with pride over what they've done. Zasshu stands at the top of the ramp now as pyro goes off all around him, the Man of Steel Championship still being held high over his head. }

​

{We come back to Rachel who is again standing next to the giant screen with a "map" showing where things would go from there.}

​

Rachel Grimes: Metamorphosis turned out to be a huge turning point all around as 2016 really started to pick up from there. After the actions of Mike Laszlo, he and Rob would go off to one of the most brutal feuds in recent memory, chronicled in episode one of "Looking Back w/ Rachel Grimes". Warren would continue his battles with Verona, but also, due to the way things ended in the Imperial Title Match, a little confrontation was starting to brew between Roberto Verona and Jake Conway as well, of which we will talk about in a later episode. For now, we focus on Warren and Roberto.

​

While Rob turned his attention to Laszlo, still making appearances in this rivalry, things would shift more toward Verona vs Warren. The week after Metamorphosis would prove that the outcome of the Andrew Jacobsen vs Warren Kane match really only had one point...to fire the loser. Roberto would interrupt Warren and strip him of the Invictus Championship. Warren would have until Danger Zone in February to give up his championship.

​

The next week though, he would be "rewarded" with a match against Jake Conway to celebrate "The Ace's" 13 year anniversary in wrestling. It was later that night that Roberto would reveal that if Warren did not give up the Invictus Championship, the belt would be defended under 24/7 rules.

​

At Danger Zone, Roberto would try to strip Warren of his title, but Warren refused. The two would engage in a fight with Warren getting the better of Roberto, holding his title high overhead.

​

Rob Diamond would re-enter this feud, getting a shot at Roberto Verona and the Imperial Championship at the March 14th Open Fight Night Sacrifice. Again, shame on you for not watching Episode one, but if you did, you'd see that Mike Laszlo would interfere, costing Rob his championship match with an assault that would only heighten their own feud.

​

Things would get interesting at the High Stakes PPV in March. Rob would take on Mike Laszlo in a brutal Last Man Standing Match, a match he would lose, but then also was the Number One Entrant in the Roulette Match. A bounty of sorts was put on Diamond's head. The man who eliminates Rob would get a shot at Verona's Imperial Title at the April "Viewer's Choice" PPV, later to be named Destiny. Here's how the end of the Roulette went down.

{She motions to the screen as we fade to the end of the Roulette Match at High Stakes 2016, from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.}

{ All three men cling to the ropes as they throw desperate blow after desperate blow trying their absolute hardest to not only stay alive themselves but knock their opponents off balance. Ace strikes Rob, Rob strikes Ace, Warren strikes Rob, Ace strikes Warren. Back and forth they go landing blow after blow after blow. Each time one looks to be losing their grip and teetering they tighten and their resilience holds through as they clutch on with everything in their locker. No man will yield as they become increasing desperate. Whenever one tries to get back in the ring they are yanked back onto the apron, it is soon apparent that this contest will be determined right here. }

Terri Morasco: This is getting intense, I can’t pick a winner.

Vasco Dias: Come on Jake!

Roberto Verona: Now we will find out who truly can survive.

{ Each man continues to trade blows as Warren swings wildly…. And misses! Warren teeters and falls…. But he grabs Rob! Diamond stumbles backwards and in his own desperation he reaches out and grabs Jake! Warren hovers in a very precious spot, clinging to Rob desperately as he fights to stay in this contest. Jake clings as best he can, the weight of two men pulling at him as he tries everything to stay in this contest. Rob and Warren fight to pull themselves back up, clawing for the ropes but they just can’t reach as Jake looks at the ropes and back at the two men, closing his eyes as he takes in a deep breath…. And let’s go of the ropes! Cameras flash as all three men plummet through the air and down to the mat below in a big heap of bodies! }

Roberto Verona: Jake just took his chances with the odds…

Vasco Dias: But who dropped first!?

Terri Morasco: More importantly, who dropped last!?

{ Officials rush over to the competitors to check on all of them after a hellacious encounter as technicians and referees rush to look at the monitors to watch over the replays which play over and over on the screen as nobody is quite sure what is going on. Minutes pass the officials all deliberate before finally they nod and Alison emerges with her microphone. }

Alison Valance: And your winner… as per the television referee….. Jake “The Ace” Conway!

 

{Flashback to Rachel now sitting at the desk, turned to the side, leaning on the counter top, as the camera shoots from a new angle.}

​

Rachel Grimes: Controversial ending to say the least. What we did know was that The Ace was headed to Night of the Immortals with the title shot in hand, but what of the bounty on Rob's head?

​

Well, before we could figure that out, a match was made for the next week on Sacrifice. Rob would team with newcomer Derek Brooks to take on the team of Warren Kane and then Invictus Champion Jayson Matthews. We thought this would be a normal Tag Team Match...but we thought wrong, take a look.

 

{The scene fades into the April 4th edition of Sacrifice, toward the end of the aforementioned match…}

 

{ Rob is back to his feet and looks from Warren to Jayson, waiting to se who is going to stand first. Warren is up to his feet and staggers, he sees Rob Diamond and charges him but Rob drops his shoulder and sends Warren over the top rope with a back body drop over the top rope, Warren hits hard and rolls off the apron. Diamond turns around to Jayson Matthews who fires off the Jayson Matthews Experience Kick that Rob just manages to get under and catches Jayson with a DIAMOND CUTTER!!! }

Terri Morasco: DIAMOND CUTTER!!!!

{ Rob quickly covers Jayson as Brooks slowly pushes himself up and comes to Rob's defense. The referee drops down, ONE! Warren pulls himself up on the apron. TWO! Brooks tackles Warren before he can break up the count, THREE!!!! }

Terri Morasco: Rob Diamond and Derek Brooks have done it! They defeated Warren Kane and Jayson Matthews!

Vasco Dias: By sheer luck, its just sheer luck that no one had their career ended.

{ The referee walks over to Alison Valance but he's holding his ear piece as if he's getting instructions. }

Terri Morasco: What's this about?

Vasco Dias: No clue.

{ Rob and Brooks hold each other's arms up before Rob turns to Jayson and helps him up off his feet, patting him on the back. The referee whispers to Alison who then raises the mic. }

Alison Valance: Your winners of the match.. ROB DIAMOND AND DEREK BROOKS!!!! And...

Terri Morasco: And?

Alison Valance: NEW IWF INVICTUS CHAMPION!!! ROB DIAMOND!!!

Terri Morasco: What!?

Vasco Dias: HA!!!!

{ Rob looks confused as the referee retrieves the belt and walks over to Rob with it, Jayson looks like someone stabbed him in the gut as the referee hands Rob the championship. }

Vasco Dias: He pinned Jayson Matthews! The belt is on the line 24-7!

Terri Morasco: But... But this wasn't a sanctioned match for the belt!

Vasco Dias: Anytime the invictus champion is pinned it's a sanctioned match!

{ Rob tries to argue with the referee but the referee isn't listening and instead raises his and Derek's hand. Jayson's jaw is on the ground as Rob tries to plead with him but Jayson doesn't want to hear it as he drops down and rolls out of the ring, storming to the back. Rob looks to Warren who just shakes his head at him as if this was part of a bigger plan. }

Vasco Dias: Brooks and Diamond pick up the win here and Rob Diamond is the new InVictus Champion, truly anything can happen on Monday Night Sacrifice.

Terri Morasco: Yeah, anything... Like Roberto Verona finding a way to put a wedge between Rob Diamond and his friends.

Vasco Dias: You think everything is a conspiracy.

Terri Morasco: Yeah, this time I do!

Vasco Dias: Get a tin foil hat.

{ Brooks shrugs is shoulders as Rob is left in the ring alone with the InVictus Championship and a deep scowl on his face. He turns the the referee again and yells at him "Who was in the ear piece!?" The referee shakes his head and tries to leave as Rob yells again "Was it Verona!? Did he tell you to do this!?" The referee goes to leave but Rob rips him back in the ring and hits a DIAMOND CUTTER!!! }

Vasco Dias: That son of a bitch!

Terri Morasco: He's lucky that's all he gets!

{ Rob drops down and rolls out of the ring, dragging the championship with him as the show fades to black. }

 

{We come back to Rachel who has a shocked look on her face and her arms spread.}

 

Rachel Grimes: Talk about confusing. I mean, who would have thought Rob Diamond would be the one to pin Jayson Matthews, thus putting the target on his back of an Invictus Title reign with the 24/7 rule in effect? Rob didn't...

​

The war with Verona would continue the next week on Sacrifice when Rob diamond would come out and claim that he eliminated himself from the Roulette match and therefore would be the one to collect the bounty. Warren Kane would then come out and claim it was him...NOT Rob who eliminated Rob from the Roulette. Roberto would come out and again pit foe against foe in hopes of gaining the advantage, announcing that both Warren AND Rob would be getting the shot at the Imperial Championship at the Viewer's Choice PPV entitled "Destiny".

​

Rob and Warren would gain the upper hand on the boss thanks to an assist from Jake Conway that will be further elaborated on in another episode.

​

The end of this feud would come at the Destiny Pay Per View, and that's where we'll take you now.

Terri Morasco: This is it, the moment we have been waiting for, the main event of Destiny! Three men will enter the ring but only one of them can walk away the IWF Imperial Champion.

Vasco Dias: You can hype this match all you want but Roberto Verona is going to retain and enter Night of the Immortals as the Imperial Champion.

Terri Morasco: You can believe that all you want but Roberto Verona is facing two men who are best friends insdie and outsaide of the ring.

Vasco Dias: The biggest championship in the world of professional wrestling is on the line, let's see how strong their friendship really is once that bell rings.

Terri Morasco: This night, this moment has been the life long dream of Warren Kane. Wrestling is literally in his blood, he was born for this, bred for this, he would sooner die than lose this match.

Vasco Dias: I don’t care if his father is Jesus Christ himself, Warren Kane will not defeat Roberto Verona and neither will his loud mouth best buddy Rob Diamond.

Terri Morasco: I’m glad your confident in your boss but I’m not, I just don’t see him over coming these odds.

Are you ready??

{ Jekyll and Hyde by FFDP hits the pa as the lights start to strobe pink. Rob Diamond slowly struts out onto the ramp as the crowd pops huge for him, he smiles and looks around the arena and slowly raises his arms over his head. Just as Jekyll and Hyde kicks into high gear he brings his arms down in an epic crotch chop as pink pyro explodes in an X behind him. He begins his march down the ramp slapping hands with fans holding signs for him and wearing his awesome t-shirts. He points here and there making certain women feel special and wet in their pants as he gets to the ring and rolls in under the bottom rope. }

Alison Valance: Introducing to the ring at this time, weighing in at two hundred and four pounds, he is THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME! The King of Diamonds, The Xtreme American Dream, The Bloody Cinderella, The one and only, the Alpha and Omega, The beginning and the end, The baddest mama jama in the multiverse, You can't believe there's none better, Better than Butter, The Mad Titan, The Dark Lord of the Sith... THE INFAMOUS ROB DIAMOND!!!!!

{ Rob stands in the middle of the ring and asks the crowd for silence, he takes a mic as the crowd dies down and so does his music... }

Rob Diamond: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and single ladies of ALL AGES!!!!!..... LETS GET READY TO SUCK IT!!!!!!!

{ He tosses the mic and hits one final crotch chop as the crowd goes nuts then marches over to the ropes and steps up on the second rope with both fists held up over his head. }

Terri Morasco: This is the man many feel should already be the Imperial Champion.

Vasco Dias: Many? Are you talking about the fat neck beard typing away on their computers at home? Rob Diamond had his shot, blew it and then failed to win the Roulette like promised. He politicked his way into this match and as far as I’m concerned he doesn’t deserve it.

Terri Morasco: Well I’m glad you don’t make the decisions around here because the millions of fans at home tend to disagree with you.

Vasco Dias: There’s a reason they’re fans and not executives in charge of billion dollar companies.

{ The lights in the arena all go out at "King of the World" by Porcelain and the Tramps begins to blare out of the PA system. Spotlights begin to scan the crowd before fixating on a figure at the top of the stage which is revealed to be Roberto Verona, his head bowed towards the floor. As cheers being to resonate around the arena Verona raises his head and he begins a slow methodical march down the ramp, the spotlight following him as golden pyro rains down from above on the stage. Verona stares with disgust at the crowd who cheer him as he approaches the ring, but he doesn't react to them. As he reaches the steps he slowly ascends them before walking towards the middle of the ring apron, turning around to look into the crowd one last time before looking up and closing his eyes as he stretches his arms out wide and basks in the adulation. After indulging himself Verona climbs into the ring, psyching himself up as he awaits the beginning of the match. }

Vasco Dias: And there he is, the god among men, the king among peasants, the one and only Imperial Champion then, now and forever, Roberto Verona.

Terri Morasco: You may need a towel to wipe all that shit off of your face.

Vasco Dias: Language Terri!

Terri Morasco: Language? You’re going to sit here and give Roberto a verbal BJ and expect me not to say anything? 

Vasco Dias: I’m simply singing the praises of the greatest wrestler in the industry today.

Terri Morasco: Yeah, the greatest, which is why he hasn’t wrestled a single match since his last defense while his opponents have wrestled every week, Rob has even defended the Invictus Championship every week.

Vasco Dias: Oh boo hoo, he knew what he was getting into when he stole that belt from Jayson Matthews. It’s just my hope that Warren comes to his senses before Rob baits him into one of his traps.

{ Roberto hands over the Imperial Championship to the referee who reads him the rules before presenting the championship to Warren and then to Rob. Alison Valance stands in the middle of the ring with a mic in hand. }

Alison Valance: The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a thirty minute time limit and it is for the IWF IMPERIAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!! To my right, weighing in at two hundred and three pounds, he is one of the challengers, the Chosen One… WARREN KANE!!! Behind me, weighing in at two hundred and five pounds he is the other challenger, the Infamous One… ROB DIAMOND!!!! And to my right, weighing in at two hundred and twenty one pounds, he is the reigning and defending IWF Imperial Champion… ROBERTO VERONA!!!!

{ The crowd boos viciously as Roberto smiles to himself, both Rob and Warren glaring at him. }

Vasco Dias: I hope you’re ready to see all your hopes and dreams of crowning a new champion come to a crashing stop because Roberto Verona is about to show the world why he is the best wrestler in the world today!

Terri Morasco: I’m sorry you feel that way Vasco because as far as I’m concerned we’re about to see a slaughter.

{ The referee preps all the competitors before calling for the bell, Rob and Warren go right at Roberto who quickly ducks out of the ring, narrowly missing their attack and watching from the outside. }

Vasco Dias: Smart move by the champ.

Terri Morasco: What a chicken shit!

{ Warren jumps out of the ring on one side, Roberto moves away but Rob jumps out on the other side blocking his escape and now Roberto finds himself between a rock and a hard place. Warren moves for him first and Roberto fires off forearm to the head of Warren but Rob clubs him over the back with a double axe handle. Roberto stumbles forward and Warren is right back in it with a spinning heel kick to the gut. Rob grabs Roberto by the hair and slams him backward into the crowd barrier! }

Vasco Dias: They can’t do this!

Terri Morasco: Why the hell not!?

Vasco Dias: They should be disqualified. It’s a triple threat, not a handi cap!

Terri Morasco: There are no disqualifications in a triple threat match and Roberto brought this on himself.

{ Warren gets a running starts and connects with the Ole Kick right to the face of Roberto as he lays against the crowd barrier. As soon as Warren moves away Rob comes running in with a sickening knee to the head of Verona. Rob grabs him by the head and pulls him up to his feet, he spins him around and throws him back first back into the crowd barrier and Warren comes in again with a stalling drop kick into the chest of Verona driving him into the barrier again! }

Vasco Dias: This is disgusting! Verona is the pinnacle of our industry! They can’t do this to him!

Terri Morasco: Looks like they can!

{ Rob storms his way over to the announce table and rips a steel chair up off the ground, he walks it back over to Verona and sets it up. Warren pulls Verona up and sends him onto the chair with a European upper cut. Rob hops onto the apron, walks down the side of the ring and gives Verona a crotch chop before running down the side of the ring and leaping off the apron and crashing right into Roberto with a double knee smash into the face of Roberto Verona!!! }

Vasco Dias: NO!!!!

Terri Morasco: That was awesome!!!

{ Warren quickly rips Roberto up off of the chair, twists him around and then throws him hard onto the steel chair with a SPLOSION SUPLEX!!! }

Terri Morasco: Did you see that!!!???

Vasco Dias: I wish I hadn’t!!!

Terri Morasco: Warren Kane is on fire!!!

{ Warren is right to his feet and drops back against the crowd who all pat him on the chest and back as Rob looks over to Roberto Verona who appears to be out cold. Rob looks to Warren and asks him to pick Roberto up, he does and then he throws him into Rob who picks Verona up for the NAGASAKI ATOMIC DROP!!! }

Vasco Dias: They can’t do this!!!

Terri Morasco: It sure as hell looks like they can!!!

Vasco Dias: This is a travesty! This is deplorable! This is against the laws of nature!!!

Terri Morasco: This is the grave Roberto dug for himself!

{ Rob and Warren both nod to each other before making their way back into the ring, the crowd roars as both men move away from each other and start to circle one another. }

Terri Morasco: This is the main event the fans paid to see, Rob Diamond versus Warren Kane.

Vasco Dias: No! They shouldn’t be able to win without pinning the champion!

Terri Morasco: Those aren’t the rules!

{ Rob and Warren move in for each other into a tie up but Warren brings him into a side head lock and then a take down. Warren goes for the rear chin lock but Rob moves around him and sweeps his legs. Rob then goes for his own rear chin lock but Warren blocks it and nips up then catches Rob with a basement drop kick. Warren gets right back to his feet again, he gets a running start and hits the ropes hard, he comes back as Rob stands up and catches him with a flying forearm smash to the face! }

Terri Morasco: Look at Warren go!

Vasco Dias: No one but Verona deserves to win this match, both of these men should be ashamed of themselves!

{ Warren hypes himself up as Rob starts to get to his feet, Warren runs in with a knee to the side of the head and then pulls Rob into a swinging neck breaker! Warren is right up and he is hyped. He grabs Rob by the head and pulls him up, he throws him into the corner of the ring and gets the crowd behind him as he runs in for the OLE KICK! But Rob has it scouted and gets under him as Warren is hung up on the ropes. Rob crashes into the back of Warren with a splash and then pulls him out of the corner, throws him across the ring, Warren bounces of the opposing turn buckles and Rob crashes into him with a SPEAR!!! Rob goes for the pin. ONE! TWO! KICK OUT! }

Terri Morasco: Not nearly enough!

Vasco Dias: Thank god! It would be a dark day in IWF if Rob became the Imperial Champion.

Terri Morasco: Are you kidding me, Rob Diamond is IWF’s only triple crown champion, if anyone has earned the right to be the Imperial Champion it’s Rob Diamond!

{ Rob is right up to his feet, he pulls Warren up with him and throws him into the turn buckles again but Warren spring right out with a massive clothes line that sends Rob hard onto his back. Warren tries to regain his composure as Rob starts to get back up. Warren runs up behind Rob and grabs him as he stands and throws him head over heels with a release German suplex! Warren is right up and he hypes himself up again as the crowd roars in support of him. Rob starts to stand up and Warren runs up on him with a snap suplex and he quickly transitions it into a crossface in the center of the ring! }

Terri Morasco: Warren has him in a crossface!

Vasco Dias: The championship shouldn’t be able to change hands this way!

Terri Morasco: Well it just may if Warren can make him tap!

{ Rob struggles to crawl his way toward the ropes but Warren is wrenching hard. Rob looks like he can’t take much more when Roberto Verona comes out of nowhere with a double axe handle over the back of Warren Kane! }

Vasco Dias: Roberto is back!!!

{ Warren Kane gets right to his feet and Roberto fires off a desperation Silencer superkick! }

Vasco Dias: YES!!!

{ Roberto pins him as quickly as he can, hooking the leg. ONE! TWO! KICK OUT! Roberto gets up, staggered and still slightly out of it. Rob is working his way to his feet and Roberto fires off another Silencer superkick as soon as he turns around! Roberto drops on top of him and hooks the leg. ONE! TWO! KICK OUT! }

Vasco Dias: COME ON! That was totally three!

Terri Morasco: That wasn’t even close!

{ Roberto staggers to his feet and rushes Warren as he starts to get up with a Brainwasher DDT! Roberto pops up not starting to find himself inside the ring, he sees Rob getting up and rushes him with the Madame Guillotine sending him head over heels! Roberto looks around and sees Warren starting to get up, he rushes him with a knee lift and then pulls him in for the FALLEN IDOL!!! Roberto goes for the cover on Warren. ONE! TWO! ROB BREAKS IT UP! }

Terri Morasco: Rob was there to break up the pin!

Vasco Dias: I just wish he’d die already!

Terri Morasco: Don’t be upset! Warren would have kicked out anyway!

{ Roberto is up to his feet and Rob hits him with a fist full of democracy, Roberto staggers back and falls into the corner. Warren is up and he connects with the OLE KICK! Roberto drops down but Rob is right there to set him up on the ropes and connect with the SHATTERED DREAMS! Rob rips Roberto out of the corner and throws him to Warren who grabs him, twists him around and then sends him up and over the top rope with the SPLOSION SUPLEX!!! }

Vasco Dias: NO!!!!!

Terri Morasco: That was freaking amazing!!!!

Vasco Dias: They can’t do that! They can’t treat him that way!!!!

Terri Morasco: They can do whatever the hell they want in this match!

{ Roberto tries to get to his feet as Rob and Warren run across the ring, bounce off the ropes and both men come flying through the ropes to the outside and crash into Verona with twin suicide dives!!!! }

Vasco Dias: WHY!? Why is this being allowed!

Terri Morasco: It’s a triple threat, anything goes!

{ Rob and Warren are both right back to their feet and both men roll back into the ring at the same time, standing at the same time and they start to tea off on one another. Rob starts to get the upper hand on Warren and drives him back but Warren ducks a right hand and gets behind Rob and fires off a Pele Kick to his head! }

Terri Morasco: Pele Kick!

{ Warren is right up and he runs to the ropes, bouncing off and coming back with another flying forearm to the head of Rob Diamond as he tries to stand. Warren then sends him into the ropes and has Rob comes back he picks him up with a huge spine buster in the center of the ring. Warren pulls him up to his feet and throws him hard into the corner of the ring. Warren runs in after him with a huge splash that sends Rob onto his back side and Warren roars as he storms his way to another corner of the ring, climbing up, he points at Rob with finger guns and then flies off the top rope with the HANG TIME DROP KICK!!!! }

Terri Morasco: OH MY GOD!!!!

Vasco Dias: I can’t believe this!!!!

Terri Morasco: That was freaking awesome!!!

{ Warren pulls Rob out of the corner of the ring and hooks his leg. ONE! TWO! KICK OUT! }

Terri Morasco: WHAT!?

Vasco Dias: Even I don’t believe that!

{ Warren looks dumbfounded. He gets to his feet and runs his hands through his hair before grabbing Rob by the head, he pulls him up and kicks him hard in the gut and looks for the Thunderstruck but Rob pushes him off, Warren turns into the Fist Full of Democracy and then Rob grabs him with a Diamond Cutter!!!! Rob quickly covers him. ONE! TWO! KICK OUT!!!! }

Terri Morasco: He kicked out of the Diamond Cutter!!!!

Vasco Dias: I don’t even know what to say… I just wish Roberto was actually involved in this match…

{ Rob can’t believe it, he gets up to his feet and looks to the corner of the ring, he heads over to the corner and starts to climb up, he stands on the top rope and looks down on Warren Kane and then jumps off the top with the Fifty Star Frog Splash but Warren pulls up his knees and Rob comes crashing down chest first onto the knees of Warren Kane!!! }

Terri Morasco: Warren blocked the fifty star frog splash!

{ Rob rolls out to the apron as Warren starts to get up to his feet. Rob pulls himself up onto the ropes and Warren is up as well, crashing into Rob with a shoulder block! Warren climbs out onto the apron and looks for the Splosion Suplex but Rob blocks it, he turns Warren around and tucks him under for the Dominicus Driver on the apron!!!! }

Terri Morasco: Dominicus Driver!!!!

Vasco Dias: How far are they willing to go!?

Terri Morasco: As far as they need to!

{ Rob is laying on the apron just trying to catch his breath as Warren rolls off the apron to the outside of the ring. Rob starts to pull himself up as the crowd is suddenly caught off guard by the appearance of Jayson Matthews through the crowd with a referee!!! }

Terri Morasco: What!? No!!! Jayson Matthews is looking to steal the invictus championship right in the middle of this Imperial Championship match!

Vasco Dias: That’s what you get when you’re the invictus champion!

{ But before Jayson can do anything he is brought to a dead stop when “Full of Regret” by Danko Jones hits the pa and the crowd erupts into a mixed reaction for STEVE AWESOME!!! }

Terri Morasco: What the hell is Steve Awesome doing here!?

Vasco Dias: I think I have an idea!

{ Steve Awesome makes his way down to the ring, checking on Roberto briefly before stopping at Rob Diamond who is still on the apron, Matthews watches from off to the side and Warren is still down on the floor. }

Vasco Dias: He’s here to collect the county on Rob’s head!!!

{ Steve looks at Rob for a second who starts to roll off the apron as Steve looks back to Verona who tells him to “DO IT!!!” Steve looks at Rob again who stands on his feet and he mouths to him “Sorry…” before firing off the JAWBREAKER SUPERKICK!!!!! }

Terri Morasco: NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Vasco Dias: YES!!!!!!!

{ Rob Diamond is down and Jayson Matthews doesn’t know what to do as he watches, Steve looks to Matthews and yells at him “PIN HIM!!!!” Jayson shakes his head and Steve shrugs his shoulders before connecting with a JAWBREAKER SUPERKICK on Jayson Matthews!!!! }

Terri Morasco: What the hell is he doing!?

{ Steve grabs Jayson and throws his body over Rob Diamond… The referee climbs out of the ring as Verona screams at him and starts to count. ONE! TWO! THREE!!!! }

Alison Valance: And your new Invictus Champion! Jaysn Matthews!!!

Terri Morasco: What!? No!

{ Jayson is out cold on top of Rob as Steve just looks down on the two of them, obviously not comfortable with what just happened but Roberto Verona is very happy as he gets to his feet and claps for Steve as he walks past him and heads up the ramp. }

Terri Morasco: I don’t believe this! Steve just cost Rob the Invictus Championship and very possibly the Imperial Championship!

Vasco Dias: Thank god for Steve Awesome!

Terri Morasco: Thank god! He just ruined this match!

Vasco Dias: No, he just saved it!

{ Steve disappears into the back as Rob and Jayson are still out of it. Roberto grabs Warren by the head and pulls him up to his feet and throws him back into the ring. Roberto follows him inside and looks to set him up. Warren is slow to his feet as Roberto comes in for the Silencer but Warren ducks it and instead grabs Roberto for THUNDERSTRUCK!!!! }

Terri Morasco: YES!!!!

{ Warren quickly covers Roberto Verona and the referee drops down. ONE! TWO! KICK OUT! }

Vasco Dias: The champion is still in it!

Terri Morasco: Barely! Warren nearly had him!

Vasco Dias: This ain’t horse grenades! Warren didn’t almost have anything!

{ Warren rages as Roberto slowly starts to get up, he comes at him fast but Roberto counters with a sharp jab to the midsection and the Requiescat In Pace!!!!! Roberto quickly pops up and pulls Warren up for the IDES OF MARCH!!!! }

Vasco Dias: IDES OF MARCH!!!!

{ Roberto makes the cover, Rob is still out cold on the outside as Jayson Matthews starts to come too seeing the Invictus Championship on his chest. }

Terri Morasco: NO! NOT LIKE THIS!!!

{ ONE! TWO! THREE!!!!!! }

Vasco Dias: YES!!!!!

Alison Valance: And your winner and STILL IWF IMPERIAL CHAMPION!!!! ROBERTO!!!! VERONA!!!!

{ Roberto clutches the championship close as the referee tries to hold his arm up, his music playing, Warren down, Rob out cold and Jayson Matthews trying to figure out what the hell happened. }

Vasco Dias: I told you! I told you that Roberto Verona would retain!

Terri Morasco: Only with the help of Steve Awesome!

Vasco Dias: I don’t know what you’re talking about! Steve attacked Rob, Roberto pinned Warren!

Terri Morasco: Don’t be so damn naïve!

{ Roberto stumbles to his feet and holds the championship over his head when “Brotherhood of Man” hits the PA as the crowd goes into a chorus of boos as Jake “The Ace” Conway steps out onto the apron. }

Terri Morasco: The Ace is here!

Vasco Dias: Oh no, what the hell is he doing!?

Terri Morasco: It looks like he’s sending a message to the champion!

{ Jake stands on the ramp as Roberto looks up at him, Jake points to the Night of the Immortals banner behind Roberto and then makes the “belt” motion around his waist as Roberto holds the championship ever closer.}

 

{We cut back to Rachel.}

 

Rachel Grimes: Holy crap! Destiny was a huge night for other reasons, but look at all the branch offs from the events of that one match! Steve Awesome and Rob Diamond would go on to feud for most of the year, Warren Kane and Jayson Matthews would go on to win the Joker In The Pack, which wouldn't sit well with Rob, as we'll show in another episode, and The Ace and Verona would go on to continue their feud into Night of the Immortals with a twist to be shown in that episode as well.
